Now you can have braces without anyone knowing!

Do you want a perfect smile but hate the thought of conventional or removable braces? Now we have your perfect solution: lingual braces

A lingual brace is a brace fitted on the back of the teeth, instead of the front. By doing so, the brace is not visible when you smile and discreetly straightens your teeth without the concern of how you might look. Lingual braces work by exerting gentle movements, yet continuous pressure on the teeth enabling them to shift into position to give you a flawless smile.

Lingual braces not only can enhance your self-esteem and confidence but can have considerable benefits to your health. Having straight teeth makes it easier to clean and look after your teeth, reducing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Numerous celebrities such as Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards have recently had lingual braces fitted, and still remains in the spotlight without the anxiety or visibility of braces.

Lingual braces are for suitable for many cases. If you have any the following, you may well benefit from lingual braces:

  • Crowded teeth

  • Gaps in teeth

  • Twisted or rotated teeth

  • Overbite or overjet

How do lingual braces work?

The first step is a consultation with the award winning Dr Angela Ly who will see if you are suitable for lingual braces. This is followed by dental impressions of the teeth. The exciting part is having the braces cemented onto the back of your teeth; thankfully the whole process is pain free. You will be reviewed and the braces adjusted or tightened every 6-8 weeks to ensure you get the smile you desire. The process can take as little as 6 months depending on the severity of teeth; this will be discussed during the consultation.
